Inga Tårar plot

Magnus is a studio photographer specializing in family portraits. In honor of his mother's 75th birthday, he decides to make a photo collage of her and his other family members. Time is a factor because his father is dying. While searching for photos at his brother's house, he comes across a photo of a woman who looks a lot like his mother but who is apparently only a few years older than his older brother. In his search for more old photos, he encounters a lot of resistance from family and certainly also from his bitter mother. All fear that Magnus will open old wounds. Magnus himself is haunted by memories of his childhood and of his father's unpredictably changing and sometimes cruel character. Slowly he discovers answers to questions he never dared to ask.
