In una Notte di Chiaro di Luna plot
John Knot (Rutger Hauer), an American journalist who writes an article about AIDS and the influence this disease has on the patient and his environment, reconnects in Paris with his great love Joelle (Nastassja Kinski). When it turns out that she has a daughter from him, he decides to marry Joelle. However, their early happiness is cruelly disrupted when it turns out that John himself is infected with HIV. He returns headlong to New York, without informing his wife and daughter. Joelle learns the reason for his departure and flies to New York to support him in his destiny.
