Jean Bradshaw (Lesley-Anne Down) is a wealthy woman who is confined to a wheelchair. She has a good-looking husband Philip (Barry Bostwick) and a brilliant stepdaughter Casey (Teresa Hill). One night she is stabbed. Her husband was a guest at a fancy dinner at the time. Casey and Philip loved each other and her death means they have nothing to hide. When the will is opened, the inheritance is disappointing and lawyer Howard (Michael Gross) keeps his mouth shut that $4 million is on the way.
