In Krakende Welstand plot

Eveline lives in an Amsterdam squat. As an assignment for the School of Journalism, she makes a video report about the house, its fellow residents and the squatters' movement. Kate is Eveline's best friend. She has stayed true to her principles and still engages in hard actions. Michiel is also a squatter from the very beginning, but he has acquired other ambitions. He is about to embark on an advertising career and is regarded as bourgeois by the other residents. Then there is Maurice, a refugee from Ghana, who is keeping a little in the background for the time being. When the municipality offers to buy the property, refurbish it and rent it out again to the residents, Michiel is there like the chickens. He thinks it is quite normal that a large rent has to be paid in the future. Kaat sees the squat as a symbol of resistance and does not consider giving up her ideals. Certainly not if it turns out that Maurice is in danger of becoming the victim of Michiel's plan-making.
