Hvezda Zvaná Pelynek plot

"war, freedom, revolution"

At the end of May 1918, a group of former Czech prisoners of war from the Austro-Hungarian army returns from Russia to the Czech town of Rumburk. They hope that the war is finally over for them, because the country is suffering and their families are starving. However, they are taken back to barracks and subjected to exhaustive exercises. Later they hear that they have to go to the front again. The Czechs who have watched the revolution in Russia do not accept this and revolt.
