How to Forget You plot

Subaru and his girlfriend Miki have been enjoying each other's company for three years. When they are about to get married, Miki dies in an accident. Despite an immense sense of loss over her death, Subaru's mother urges him to return to his hometown in Gifu. There he meets other people with the same kind of grief and gradually comes to accept Miki's death. Then she suddenly appears before his eyes. Is it really her or is it an illusion?
