Hotel Mumbai plot

"November 26, 2008… Terror struck the heart of India."

The film tells the true story of the devastating attacks in Mumbai in 2008. A group of heavily armed Pakistani militants opens the attack on the iconic Taj Mahal Palace hotel in India. For 68 hours, hundreds of people are held hostage, shots are fired and a huge fire rages. When the smoke clears, more than 160 people have been killed and many more injured. Only the brave actions of the staff and guests prevented the death toll from rising.

munich van spielberg... also film about terrorism...

but I don't need to see what those (edit moderator: swearing removed) are doing to gross senseless violence against random tourists...because we're still in the middle of it...see srilanka...

what's next?

1.5 hour film about (edit moderator: swearing removed) who crashes 100 prams with truck on the boulevard of nice?

throw grenades between concertgoers ala bataclan? far too much honor for these swine and too recently....

rather make movies from the other side like 0dark30

this is as if the nazi crimes were filmed in 1945 itself.... bah

I'm going to give this movie a much higher score than how it sometimes came across. This film is partly a hard-hitting thriller full of brutal ruthless action and partly a terribly badly written nonsense. To start with the latter, the characters were all walking clichés (the nanny and the child) and the film itself does not escape it (warning just in time, stupidity with those shoes and then just your can still keep a job, that sort of thing). But actually for a long time those characters didn't really captivate me either, partly because of things like that described above.
But the realistic quality makes up for a lot. Just that half the main characters die in cold blood, without exaggerated sentiment or heroism with violin music (as Hammer gets shot, that's a different story). The action is also very strong and well-organized and hard and raw and shows what happened here in my opinion. On those kinds of points, the film deserves a big pass, even though it took an hour before the film really started to captivate me. 3.5*.

Very strong movie. Nothing really to say about the genre. Prepare for a raw and realistic movie. You will be left with a slightly bitter aftertaste. The film is interspersed with historical film material which makes you realize even more how terrible this time has been. Great acting, good directing, realistic portrayal. A film that puts your own problems into perspective and makes you realize what really matters in life. 4 stars.
