Hotel Império plot

The Portuguese Maria has always found her home in the Empire Hotel in the neighborhoods of Macau, China. Now that her father is getting older by the day, the care and management of the dilapidated hotel rests on her and her Chinese mother's shoulders. Their guests include prostitutes, the homeless and unemployed opera singers. The family receives daily offers from buyers that quickly degenerate into threats. Plus, the mysterious Chu has recently checked in, showing an unhealthy interest in Maria. A man who may well be plotting to destroy the family's life.
