Hordubal plot

After five years of hard work in America, Juraj Hordubal returns to his home. He looks forward to seeing his wife Polana and his little daughter Hafie again. The family and the villagers welcome him somewhat frugally. Everyone thought Juraj had died in America, because Polana hasn't received money from America for two years. However, Polana's farm is flourishing thanks to the help of the young servant Stepán, with whom she has now built it.
