Hiroshima plot

We follow Yukio and Michiko, two children from Mr. Kitagawa who narrowly survived the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. Michiko has leukemia and has lost everyone. Yukio still has his father, but he is maimed beyond recognition in the hospital. He tries to earn a living by excavating skulls and selling them to American soldiers.
