Himeyuri no Tô plot

Two hundred girls between the ages of fifteen and nineteen are appointed nurses three days before the Allied attack on Okinawa. Their initial optimism is soon tempered during the three-month battle as they nurse soldiers with the most horrific wounds. When the Japanese positions deteriorate, the girls are left to fend for themselves and must make their own way past the enemy forces and through dire circumstances or commit suicide.
