Hikô Shôjo plot

Wakae, a young girl of fifteen, lives in a small coastal town and works as a hostess in a bar. Her mother has passed away and her father, an alcoholic, lives with a new woman. When Wakae is about to steal a new pair of shoes, she runs into Saburo. The two have not seen each other for a long time and Saburo decides to help her.
