"An Impossible Love May Be Her Only Salvation"
Lou is a 12 year old girl who grew up in the 60's and would rather spend the day dreaming away in her tree house than hearing the stories of her friend who talks all day about nothing but her new earrings and the boys who she sees it. When she also hears from her that they plan to show an information video at school that day that everyone will have to watch, she's had enough. Lou's steps towards adulthood are interspersed with documentary images of lesbian women who talk about their coming out and a selection of old-fashioned information films.
