Have You Seen My Son plot
The divorce of Lael (Lisa Hartman) and Mike (Jameson Parker) has led to a bitter custody battle for their son Van Stein (William Russ). Mike decided not to wait for the outcome and ran off with the child, much to the despair of Lael, who receives very little cooperation from the authorities. She embarks on a quest across half the country on her own, and eventually discovers that her son is in Mexico.
