Hans Warns - Mein 20. Jahrhundert plot

Born in Germany in 1899, Hans Warns' life spanned almost the entire 20th century. At the age of 15, Warns left for Chile with his first still camera - the beginning of a lifelong obsession with the sea and photography. During the two world wars, Warns studied navigation, worked in the merchant navy and continued to take photographs, but he also made a number of films. At an exhibition of his work in 1993, Warns takes a look at his life and the changes he has seen Germany go through.
