Hairpins plot

A young lawyer hopes to improve his position in the business world by making a positive impression socially. However, his reckless and slovenly wife poses an obstacle to his hopes. He begins flirting with his secretary, and an affair develops. His wife, however, decides she wants to outdo him and embarks on a complete lifestyle change.
