Hadashi no Gen Part 3: Hiroshima no Tatakai plot

Hiroshima after the Atomic Bomb Drop: Young Gen and his mother survived the Atomic Bomb attack. Gen's father, sister and brother have died. Gen tries to get back on track and go back to school. His mother begins to show signs of radiation sickness and her physical condition is rapidly deteriorating. Gen has heard that the Americans have a drug for radiation sickness and does everything he can to buy it for his mother.
