Grüningers Fall plot

February 1939. Switzerland closes its borders to Jewish refugees. But hundreds of people continue to cross the border without a visa. That is why an investigation is being launched by the chief of the Swiss immigration service to take a closer look at the illegal border crossings. Police Inspector Robert Frei, a young ambitious civil servant who believes in government, is summoned to the canton of St. Gallen.
