India's current political turmoil sets the stage for a love triangle between a Hindu nationalist professor, a young Dalit girl, and her liberal husband, who is an editor. Sandip, an active politician was a childhood friend of Nikhilesh. Nikhilesh, the editor, lives with his wife Brinda.
