Gavilán o Paloma plot

José José was born into a Mexican family of talented musicians. His father was an alcoholic and opera tenor and his mother was a pianist. Growing up in the tough neighborhoods of Mexico City, José began his career as a singer in serenades, and later joined a jazz trio. His father passed away and his career took a huge turn because of his talent. José started a relationship with Anel, a beautiful young actress, but because of his alcoholism and infidelity, she abandoned him. José married Kiki Herrera, a beautiful woman who was twenty years his senior. After several quarrels and irreconcilable differences, he left her. He then contracted a terrible pneumonia that almost ended his career. Then Anel returned to him and he recovered. After a few years without success, José signed a contract with a major record company and his career reached a new peak.
