Ganap na Babae plot

A triptych. Milagros and Elena are Filipino sisters who grow 'camotes' (sweet potatoes) on very dry land. Severe poverty forces Elena to migrate as a mail-order bride in Japan, while Milagros is left behind to take care of the rest of the family. Eos is a widow who falls in love with a younger man, Rodrigo. Both try to make their relationship work amid the pressures of their families and the rest of society. And a female prostitute opens her heart to the camera. As a survivor, she looks back on her life as a mother.
