Fukumoto Kôhei Kaku Hashiriki plot

Kôhei is an 18-year-old farmer's son from Fukushima prefecture in northeastern Japan. His brother died in a motorcycle accident a few months ago. The father of the two brothers, Inazo, cannot bear the death of his son. The fact that no one is taking over his farming business particularly stings him. Kôhei shows no ambition in this direction. Like his father, Kôhei has been changed by the death of his brother and can no longer motivate himself for school.
