Lulu Smith travels to Cuba on a cruise and falls for Bob Grover along the way. A romance develops, but once home he tells her he is married and they split up. But Lulu is pregnant and she is hiding the child from Bob, who has become a promising politician. When Bob finds out, he adopts the child without his wife knowing. However, a newspaper manages to find out the story.
