Forasters plot
The 60s, Barcelona. Selfish, rude and obnoxious Emma is the hated head of a dysfunctional family. Her husband Francesc is very easy going, her son Josep is gay and her daughter Anna is a difficult teenager. The family harbors hatred and prejudice against their upstairs neighbors, a group of immigrants. Emma is terminally ill and dies. Anna, who is pregnant, breaks off with her father and brother and disappears. After forty years, she returns to her father's apartment, having been rejected by her son. She discovers that her father is married to the housewife Patrícia, but her brother Josep and her troublesome niece Rosa don't want to know anything about her.
