For Those Who Can Tell No Tales plot
During a summer vacation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kym is the image of an average tourist: she visits the sites and souvenir shops promoted in her guidebooks and keeps a video diary. But her stay in a hotel in Visegrad inexplicably leads to anxiety and sleepless nights. Returning home to Australia, she learns that the Vilina Vlas hotel where she was staying was used as a war rape camp. Evocations of atrocities in the region begin to haunt her, as does the question of why the guide, or the town itself, failed to mention the event. She becomes so affected by her trauma that she eventually feels compelled to return to Visegrad and investigate the dark, hidden past for herself.
