1838. The 18-year-old Friedrich Engels from Wuppertal enters the soil of the free Imperial and Hanseatic city of Bremen, to become a merchant in the trading house Leupold according to his father's will. A carefree life lies ahead for Engels, but his love for the truth and his sense of justice endanger him and cause him inner conflicts.
