Fire in the Dark plot

Mother Emily Miller (Olympia Dukakis) breaks her hip and becomes dependent. Daughter Janet (Lindsay Wagner) takes care of her, but Emily struggles to accept that she is getting older and dependent on others. She is forced to reconsider the mother-daughter relationship and that takes a lot of effort.
