Fiela Se Kind plot

In 1970s South Africa, in the forests of Knysna, a colored female, Fiela, lives. Fiela and her family adopt a white boy they found. However, after 9 happy years, Benjamin is claimed by the poor Van Rooyens family, who say that he is their lost son. The living conditions of his new parents, however, are much worse than Fiela's, although she and her family were considered to be of lower racial origin. However, several years later, his mother, plagued with guilt, admits that he is not her son.
