Fatherland plot
In the year 1949, the German writer Thomas Mann embarks on a road trip with his daughter Erika. The journey takes them through their ruined homeland. Together, they set off towards exile that takes them from a US-dominated Frankfurt to Soviet-controlled Weimar.
