"Out of Ancient Egypt - The Real... Dramatic Struggle of Love And Power - 5000 Years B.C"
The young pharaoh Ramesses XIII inherits a tricky package. The treasury has been looted, the officials are all corrupt, the people are impoverished, and the country is threatened by neighboring countries. The greatest threat, however, comes from the priests, whose power is considerable. Their leader, Herhor, High Priest of Theben, is also commander-in-chief of the army. Ramesses XIII decides to curb the power of the priests. He wants to conquer countries with a new and strong army and thus acquire raw materials and slaves. Seeing their power threatened, the priests hatch a plan to eliminate the young pharaoh.
