Far from the Madding Crowd plot
Bathsheba Everdene is a beautiful, proud woman with an independent spirit. She rejects the loyal Gavriel Oak, who works on her farm. Gavriel can only watch as Bathsheba flirts with the neighbor, Mr. Boldwood, and the normally calm Gavriel becomes completely obsessed with her. Then a charming soldier appears on the scene, who, like the two others, falls head over heels for Bathsheba.
