Ernst Thälmann - Führer Seiner Klasse plot
The second part of the Thälmann films covers the 1930s until the end of his incarceration in the Buchenwald concentration camp in 1944. Between Thälmann's attempts to form a united front through the Social Democrats to prevent the Nazis from coming to power, we are also arrested. There are liberation attempts with his camp friends with the aim of fighting with the others. Among them is Fiete Jansen, who fought with the International Brigades during the Spanish Civil War. Thälmann also maintains contact with the comrades from prison and encourages them to continue the fight against fascism.
