Jan Maywald has been paralyzed since a sports accident, but he takes it all with the necessary humor and irony. He is an intelligent man who is generally in a better mood than those who treat him. Jan wants to leave the hospital at his own risk, but the doctors refuse to let him go. That is why he asks Patricia Engel to defend his interests. Initially, Patricia does not understand where the problem lies, until she learns that Jan's wife has taken legal action, which means that his freedom of movement is very limited.
