En Waar de Sterre Bleef Stille Staan plot

The film tells the story of three poor sowers: Suskewiet, Pitje Vogel and Schrobberbeeck. Tired of their poverty and hunger, they decide to sing Epiphany at Christmas. With success, because they sing themselves rich. However, when they get lost in the woods on their way back to the cafe, they unexpectedly witness the birth of a small child, Jesus, as real three kings. Upside down from this miraculous event, they are giving away all their hard-earned money. In the morning, however, they doubt their sense of accomplishment. When they decide to sing again the following Christmas, they argue about their intentions.
