El Yugo plot

Fajardo is a fishing village in Puerto Rico. For generations, the population has lived by catching fish and selling it to a middleman, who sells it in the city. Young Manolín marries Adela. To celebrate the wedding, they take a trip to the city. There, Manolín sees fish selling for prices that are much higher than he and his colleagues earn. Back in the village he tries to convince the other fishermen to sell the fish independently.
