El Invierno de las Anjanas plot

A young worker, Eusebio, who is having an affair with an upper-class beauty, Adelaida, is called up by the military to fight in the Cuban War of Independence. Adelaida strangely receives word that her beloved has died in battle, and she refuses to believe it. Her family thinks she has gone insane and sends her to a mental institution. Some of the patients there tell her about forest nymphs that might bring her to her beloved.
