A young man is disappointed in his betrothed's behavior. He finishes his studies and joins the Navy as a volunteer. On one of his sea trips he meets a girl and falls in love with her. She chooses to remain the ship's cook and eventually marries him. The young man now goes to work as an apprentice chef on the same boat and becomes very skilled in the art of cooking. In a short time he takes over the job of his "rival" as head chef. And then he starts ignoring his wife...
