Dove Siete? Io Sono Qui plot
Fausto (Gaetano Carotenuto) and Elena (Chiara Caselli) are both deaf and live in Rome. He comes from a wealthy bourgeois family and his mother, who accompanies him in his studies, makes him forget and overcome his handicap. He may not use sign language or associate with others who suffer the same fate. Elena comes from a working-class family with little economic security. She is not even allowed to go to school because there are no special teachers, which would also be too expensive. Thus, she is denied a decent upbringing. The two meet by chance and fall in love, but their lives are full of stumbling blocks. They are surrounded by hypocrisy and only the strength of their relationship allows them to overcome any obstacle.
