Dokkoi Ikiteru plot
A family struggles to get a living in Tokyo. When they are evicted from their cabin, the father (Chojuro Kawarasaki) sends his wife and two children back to the countryside, where they come from. He himself is going to live in a cheap workers' pension. Delighted after finding a suitable job in a factory, he spends all the money that friends and neighbors had given him to start in this job. His life and that of his family is in a downward spiral.
