Dog Days plot

Thanks to a feat of magic that involved his mother sacrificing her life for him, black Filipino teen Michael Jordan Ulili is a major talent on the basketball court. But that talent has ill-prepared him for life's setbacks: from his racist teammates to a bad knee and his girlfriend's sudden pregnancy. When he comes into contact with the underworld surrounding crystal meth, his basketball dream slowly but surely turns into a nightmare.
