Die Wildente plot

After a long absence, Gregers returns home, where his father, Consul Werle, is hosting a welcome dinner for him. He also hopes that his son will follow in his footsteps. Gregers, however, has other ideas on this homecoming. First, he invites his childhood friend Hjalmar Ekdal for dinner. The Ekdal family and the Gregers family are painfully connected from the past and he has his heart set on bringing these matters to light now, at any cost.
