Die Taube auf dem Dach plot

At a construction site in the south of the GDR, where hundreds of homes are being built in a new and modern system, the young and self-confident construction manager Linda Hinrichs gets to know two men. Firstly, the young student Daniel, who works in construction for part of his vacations and who likes his future dreams and his non-conformism. And secondly, there is construction sergeant Hans Böwe, a migratory bird. His job as a laborer means that he has already built houses all over the GDR, but lost his own house as a result. Linda is completely absorbed in their work, but a lack of time threatens to lose sight of her own private life.
