Die Lebenden plot
For Sita, there is nothing like before when she sees a photo of him in an SS uniform in Vienna on her grandfather's 95th birthday. She can't believe that her beloved, good-natured husband was actually part of the death squads. After her father refuses to explain her grandfather's Nazi past, Sita begins a search for answers. She searches in Vienna, Warsaw and Transylvania, where her grandparents were born.
