Die Geschichte der 1002. Nacht plot

Around 1875, a Persian shah (Osman Ragheb) travels to Vienna and wants to meet European women, to whom he then makes indecent proposals. He is very picky and wants to meet a lady from the better circles at some point. Although one cannot refuse a prince anything, it just so happens that the whore Mizzi Schinagl (Johanna Matz) resembles the Countess Wernberg (again Matz) like two drops of water. The host persuades Mizzi to impersonate the Countess. Mizzi is accompanied by the young cavalry baron Baron von Taittinger (Walter Reyer) who has fallen in love with her. Her deception is revealed and she ends up in jail, although the shah himself never noticed.
