Die Blumen von Gestern plot
Toto is a German Holocaust researcher and descendant of prominent Nazi criminals. He suffers greatly from his family history and also finds his career terrible. But in the midst of this life crisis, which also affects his marriage, he meets the French research assistant Zazie, whose grandmother was murdered in Auschwitz. Toto is fascinated by Zazie and her lively character and his meeting with her turns his life completely upside down.
