Die Ameisenstraße plot

In the street from the title, somewhere in Vienna, the building dates from about 1880. The elderly who live there are in the majority. There are also children and Eastern Europeans, including Polish guest workers and displaced Yugoslavians. Everyone turns out to have a secret, a quirk, or a curious habit. Be that as it may, every resident is attached to his place. The owner of the property is a posh old gentleman who leaves his residents alone until he dies and his young cousin inherits the property. New times are dawning. This means that the building has to be renovated, the tenants have to run out and every apartment has to be sold with a big profit. Although the residents certainly do not live in harmony with each other, they join forces for once and rebel...
