Devotion plot

Poor Shirley Mortimer is hopelessly in love with London lawyer David Trent. To be closer to David, Shirley disguises herself with things like a wig and glasses and takes a job as a governess for David's son Derek. David successfully defends the artist Norman Harrington and then invites Norman to his home. Norman wants to make up with Shirley, who is still in love with David.
