Desert Bloom plot
"The nuclear family meets the atomic age."
A young girl grows up in a poor family near Las Vegas, circa 1950. Her stepfather is quite aggressive and starts drinking more and more. Then her aunt arrives, who is coming to stay for a few weeks. She causes chaos in the already restless family atmosphere. As if that weren't enough, an Atomic Bomb test will soon be conducted by the military just a few miles from the family home.
