Der Veruntreute Himmel plot
Teta Linek (Annie Rosar) works as a cook on the Grafenegg estate in Bohemia. She is good at her job, religious, eager for money and terribly stingy. Wanting to earn a seat in heaven, she decides to talk to her cousin Mojmir (Kurt Meisel) to study theology and become a priest. If he says yes, she sends him money and she has no desire to visit him, for the thought of her own salvation is more than satisfying. After many years, Mojmir asks his aunt for a sum of money and she decides to visit him. Mojmir may be the pastor of Hustopec, but he hasn't accomplished much, and he's been tampering with all sorts of things all the time. Teta, who is no longer the youngest, decides to make a pilgrimage to Rome and is allowed to sit in the front row during a mass audience with Pope Pius XII.
