Der Mann aus der Pfalz plot

End of the 80s. Although Chancellor Helmut Kohl has a very good reputation abroad, a conflict is developing within his own party, which could lead to the end of Kohl's career. The criticism within his party is clear. But all this is soon forgotten when in 1989 international political events reach a climax with the collapse of the Eastern bloc. As a result, Kohl now becomes the 'Chancellor of Unity'.
